The Head Zephyr Pro 2022 is a round control racket for players who value precision over raw power.

For defense, this is great. You can react fast to fast balls and reset the point. But you sacrifice some reach and power on smashes.

Grip

The handle felt comfortable in my hand, with a standard grip size that suits most players. The overall weight is on the heavier side, but the balance makes it manageable.

Over a long match, fatigue is not a big issue, again because of the head-light feel. You can keep your wrist and arm relaxed during play.

Power & Control

The power score of 6.5 is honest. You won't get free power from this racket, so you have to be active with your strokes. Shots are more about placement than pace.

Control, on the other hand, is where it shines. The 8.7 rating shows in practice: you can find angles and keep the ball deep with confidence. If you're a precise player, you'll love that.

Comfort & Speed

Comfort is above average thanks to the Comfort FOAM core. It absorbs vibration well, so you feel less shock on off-center hits.

Speed is a standout. With a 9.1 maneuverability score, it feels nimble at the net and when defending. That's unusual for a 355-375 gr racket, and it gives you extra time.

Materials & Durability

The frame is carbon fiber, which gives it a solid, durable feel. The faces are also carbon fiber with Graphene 360+, adding strength and a crisp response.

I can't speak to long-term durability from the specs alone, but the materials are standard for quality rackets. Should hold up fine for regular play.

Analysis

This racket is all about control. With an 8.7/10 control score, you can place shots with real accuracy, even under pressure. The round shape and high maneuverability (9.1/10) make it easy to get into position, so defensive play feels natural.

Power is not its strength. At 6.5/10, don't expect to blast winners from the back. You'll need to generate pace yourself, using your body and timing. It works well if you like to build points patiently.

The sweet spot is generous (8.6/10), so off-center hits stay reliable. The medium feel (core is Comfort FOAM) gives a decent balance between firmness and touch. For a 355-375 gr racket, it swings faster than you'd think, thanks to its balance.

Where it falls short is on aggressive play. If you rely on power, this might leave you frustrated. Also, beginners may find the weight a bit heavy, though the control helps. Look elsewhere if you want a racket that hits hard for you.
