The Spark plays true to its round shape and soft feel. You get a large sweet spot that forgives off-center hits, which makes it easy to place the ball where you want. Control comes naturally — the 7.5 rating shows in volleys and bandejas that stay directed.

Power is clearly limited at 5.5, but that’s not a flaw. You won’t smash through opponents, but you’ll win points by outsmarting them with angles and depth. The rebound at 7.1 feels steady, so balls don’t fly off the face unexpectedly.

Maneuverability at 7.4 is solid for a heavy racket, though weight ranges from 350 to 375 grams. That heavier build can make defense a workout over three sets. Your arm will feel it, especially if you’re used to lighter rackets.
